DO your kids drive you mad? Take time out (60 minutes to be precise) to find the funny side of parenthood, with comedians JJ Mclean (Melbourne), Pete Melrose (Brisbane), Mr Alabama (U.S.A) and Terry North (UK).
As perhaps a response to shows such as 'Mum's The Word', the show Who's Your Daddy? gives four fathers the opportunity to relay the humour of raising children. Each comic takes to the stage solo and spends ten to fifteen minutes telling their amusing stories about family life and their offspring.
Since first appearing in the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2009, Who's Your Daddy? has gone from strength to strength, receiving a four star rating from the Herald Sun for it's performance in the 2011 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Who's Your Daddy? Is performing as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival from 24th February until 9th March and will feature some guest comedian/dads, or surrogate dads as we like to call them, from around the Fringe, one of our guests this Festival is Lawrence Mooney who will be performing in at least one of our matinee shows.
The show is rated PG, so you can safely bring your teenage offspring, maybe they will get an insight in to what they've put you through.
Doors open at 6.30pm, so why not make a night of it and enjoy the meal and show package for $50 per person. This includes a gourmet 2 course meal and show ticket for one. This is also available for the luncheon matinee sessions.
WHAT THEY'VE SAID: Who's Your Daddy?' was a wonderful show that would definitely hit a nerve with parents. Those without offspring were able to relate using their own upbringing as well as getting a humorous glimpse as to what life may have in store for them in the future. Thegroggysquirel.com St Kilda 2010.
Gags about parents not being able to have a minute to themselves, not even on the toilet, had the audience, and one woman in particular, squealing with laughter. Crowds will love this energetic, witty show, where each dad offers a fresh perspective on the funny bits of fatherhood. STAR RATING **** Herald Sun. Melbourne 2011.
